Wellness Advice You’ve Never Heard—But Honestly, It Works

We all hear the usual wellness advice: eat better, sleep enough, get moving. And yes, those things matter a lot. But over time, I’ve found that some of the smallest, quietest habits have brought the most unexpected peace into my life.
Here are two little things I swear by—and I wish more people talked about them.

Actually Wash Your Feet (Yes, Really)

Sounds obvious, but most people don’t thoroughly clean their feet. We let the soapy water trickle down in the shower and assume it’s enough— but it’s not. Dirt, dead skin, sweat, and bacteria love to hang out between your toes, under your nails, and around your heels.

What to do:
  • Gently scrub your heels and soles
  • Clean between your toes
  • Moisturize after drying to prevent cracking
This tiny act of care supports better hygiene, reduces odor, and even improves grounding—because how we treat our feet affects how we walk through life.

Cocoa Is a Hug in a Mug

I’ve started drinking pure cocoa a few times a week—just cocoa powder, hot water or milk, sometimes a little cinnamon.

No sugar, no junk. Just rich, earthy warmth.
It lifts my mood in the gentlest way.
No jitters. No crash. Just comfort.

People like Bryan Johnson and Andrew Huberman have mentioned how cocoa affects your brain chemistry—and honestly, they’re right. But beyond the science, it just feels good. It’s a small ritual that helps me slow down and be kinder to myself.

If you're looking for simple things to soothe your mood, body, and nervous system, I made a list of calming, feel-good products I personally love.

You don’t always need big changes to feel better.

Sometimes it’s the quiet things: washing your feet, sipping something warm, taking a deep breath.

Be gentle with yourself. You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight.

Start small. Start soft. That’s still progress.
